Principal Designer

The role of the Principal Designer involves co-ordinating the project and ensuring that health and safety is considered throughout the design process, and, where requested, through to the construction phase of the project.

Under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations, most building projects require a Principal Designer to plan, manage and monitor the pre-construction phase. We can take on that duty for both commercial and residential schemes, keeping the design team, the client and the contractor working to the same information.

We also advise on the duties that fall to the client and make sure the required health and safety information is prepared and passed on.
